When I paint a cornfield I want people to feel the atoms within the corn pushing out to their final growth and bursting. Giving off light and heat waves of tremendous power. “When I paint a sun, I want to make people feel it revolving at a terrific rate of speed. I don’t know why this is not mainstream but every human should read this book, this story should be known by everyone. I haven’t read a lot of biographies to be eligible to make this comment but I think this is the best biography I have ever read and ever will. This is not just a book recommendation story for me, it is way deeper and more personal for me than that.
It is with immense interest and love, I pen down a book recommendation, and there are some books that I do think can actually change lives and this is one of them. The book was published in 1934 and is 431 rare pages. He claims most of it to be true except for the mentioned exceptions by him in the afterword.
Lust for Life is a fictionalized biographical account of the life of one of the greatest painters that ever lived on this planet, Vincent van Gogh based on the many letters written by Vincent to his dearest brother Theo and some on-field research conducted by Irving Stone.
